Dudel is my music box for our children
Our daughter loves to listen to audio books and music for hours. This motivated me to build her an MP3 player: the Dudel. Dudel is my music box for our children.
Because the first Dudel met with interest in our environment and among friends, I decided to build one for everyone. So the whole concept was mechanically refined, functions integrated and the electronics newly laid out.
Dudel was developed in Switzerland. The casing is milled in Adetswil using beechwood from the Zurich Oberland and then assembled in Wattwil.
You may wonder what Dudel is supposed to be, or mean?
When I was a teenager, my mother often said, ‘Turn off that gedudel!’ when she didn’t like the genre or the volume of my music. Ergo is the device that causes the gedudel: the Dudel.
